Ioannina is accessible by air via Ioannina National Airport (IOA) with flights from Athens taking about an hour. KTEL intercity buses connect from Athens (6-7 hours) and Thessaloniki (3.5-4 hours). By car, Athens is approximately 4.5-5.5 hours via the E65 highway, and Thessaloniki is 3-4 hours via the Egnatia Odos (A2). Ferries from Corfu to Igoumenitsa (1-1.5 hours) plus a drive or bus ride of about an hour also connect to the city.
